Budget classification

According to art. 11 of the Budget Code of Ukraine, the Financing classification of budget includes sources of financial resources required to cover the budget deficit and directions of spending financial resources generated as a result of the budget surplus. Debt repayment costs are included in budget financing.

Budget financing is classified by:

• by creditor type - by categories of creditors or holders of debt liabilities;
• by debt liability type - by the funds used to finance the budget.

Financing classification of budget was approved by the order of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine dated 14 January 2011, No. 11 “On Budget Classification” and is available through the public API (Application Programming Interface).
